Description

CHILDREN’S SWEATER S is worked seamlessly from the top down in the round. The yoke is shaped with raglan increases and cables. After separating the body and sleeves, two cable columns are worked under each arm and continued down the sides of the body. The neckband is worked in ribbing, folded inward, and sewn in place.

Choosing a Size

Choose a size based on the child’s measured chest circumference. The age ranges are intended as a guide only. The sweater is designed with approximately 18–22 cm / 7–8¾ in of positive ease for a Scandinavian oversized fit.

Gauge

16 stitches × 21 rounds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in in stockinette stitch using 5 mm / US 8 needles, measured after washing and drying flat.

Gauge is essential for achieving the correct finished measurements. Adjust the needle size if necessary to obtain the specified gauge.
